2 months

This was a busy week for us. Averie had her 2 month check up and she has really grown! She is 11lbs 3oz (52nd percentile) and 24 inches (99th percentile). We were not  a fan of the shots, poor baby girl was not herself for 2 days. Luckily, she started to feel like herself before company arrived. She loved being able to play with grandmom, Go and Nana. Averie had so much fun with Go reading and singing to her, it was very cute to watch them together. Nana Carol was overjoyed to meet and play with her first great grand-daughter! We can't wait to see them all again!

8 weeks old

Our little girl is 8 weeks old today! It seems that within the last 2 weeks or so Averie has become so much more alert. She is watching her toys, our faces, smiling more, and even grabbed onto her wubbanub to help it stay in place. 

Averie loves her bath time where she practices her kicking and staring at the mirror. The fan, running water and lights definitely seem to calm her, so we spend a lot of time in the bathroom with her ;) Wonder if we have a little swimmer on our hands! It has been fun to watch her grow and develop so much in such a short time span.

 

1 month

We all survived the first month! Averie had a big celebration for her one month birthday since it fell on Christmas. At her doctor’s visit she had gained some more weight and was 9lbs 6oz and 22 inches, long (94th percentile) and lean!

Here is our first real family photo outside of the hospital. Who knew we would only take pictures of her and maybe an arm of one of us ;)

Averie loves lights and fans. She really enjoyed the lights on the Cornet's Christmas tree and was mesmerized throughout all of the present opening. Boy is she one spoiled girl! Maybe next year she will be more involved in present opening.

Welcome Averie Mae

We are excited to announce that Averie Mae Cornet was born November 25, 2013 at 7:19am at West Boca Medical Center. She weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 21 inches long. Of course we think she is perfect!
