Averie's Baby Naming

In the Jewish religion baby girls are officially brought into the Jewish covenant with a baby naming ceremony, where they receive a hebrew name from their parents and rabbi. It is also tradition to chose a name honoring a loved one that has passed. Averie is named after Alexis' Pop-Pop Al who passed away when she was in high school and held a special place in her life & heart, and will be honored through Averie. We chose Averie's name Adira for its mean of strong/mighty. So far it has been fitting for her personality and her physicality.

We were lucky to have so much family join us to help celebrate Averie. Both sets of grandparents joined us and Nana came from Atlanta to celebrate. It was really great to have 4 generations of women together.
